Scheduling a Matrix of activity

The clock is ticking and it’s getting so close to the Players Pack for the 25 year Anniversary Arc40k in 2023 to be launched. The excitement is palpable!

Scheduling your day attending Arc40k should be easier than programming the whole event…

The team have been going over it with a fine toothed comb and a magnifying glass and google spell checker! Making sure all the changes make sense and add to the overall player experience. It’s a very big deal

But One does not simply create a time and talk about the time we are all going to spend together at the next Arc40k weekend 4-5 March 2023. That time is driven by the schedule.

Before we go any further I have to say that there will be no schedule revealed in the upcoming release of the players pack. It’s an important part of the Arc40k weekend running smoothly and everything happening exactly when it needs to happen.

The logistics of creating a timetable that let’s everyone know when things start and finish - like games, breaks, lunch - the important moments that signpost a weekend of Warhammer 40K gaming - it’s huge to get right.

And then we’ve added ArcOpen into the running schedule - there are still some components of that event which we finalizing. These then need to be tied into the overall schedule so therie’s a chance for everyone to be involved in the most important parts.

The most important thing we are mindful of is to allow Arc40k participants time to be involved in what will be for participants of the ArcOpen be key parts of the weekend.

We need to ensure there’s specific times put aside for Arc40k players to lodge their entries!

We want you to get gaming, enjoy the challenge of playing your 40K games but still be assured that as a participant of Arc40k you will still be able to enter the ArcOpen.

Then on the Sunday we’re looking to program a break for players in their intense schedule of playing games so that on the Sunday Afternoon anyone interested or involved in the ArcOpen can attend the Awards Presentation.

There’s a some other minor tweaks and inclusions that will form the rest of the schedule across the weekend.

We are hoping that our Judges from ArcOpen will also join in to add their opinions towards Judging Best Painted at Arc40k during the open ending Parade of Armies. And also take a closer look at the top armies to choose their favorites.

We certainly won’t have all those details finalized before the Players Pack goes live but as the team has been involved across a number of events some of these extras will find their way into the schedule as we get closer to the event.

Then - finally, there’s some changes to the general rules of the event. Arc40k is going to be big next year. So all the details about the event are being gone over with a fine tooth comb updating them so we can be the best event ever.

Do yourself a favour, when it’s available head over to the players pack page - read all of it - you just don’t know what changes and refinements have been made and how you will need to interact with the event in 2023.
