Reflecting on Arc40k: A Journey Through Time

Arc40k 2023 is almost here and it’s a blast to be a part of it again. For me, this has been a long journey, stretching back more than 21 years, and 110 games of 40k.

This year’s event will be the culmination of a year’s worth of efforts. As well as a time to reflect on what this event means to me, and why I keep coming back year after year.

Arc40k has always been my number one event of the year. This event is more than just a weekend of gaming, it’s a celebration of the hobby, a gathering of like-minded individuals, and an opportunity to catch up with old friends. For me, it’s about the atmosphere, the “vibe” of the event, and the inspiration that comes from seeing some of the best hobby work in one place.

Writing articles about my journey to Arc40k has been an incredible experience!

This has been my first time blogging or writing anything similar, and I must say that it has been an interesting and enlightening experience. Writing down my thoughts and plans has helped me focus my nebulous ideas and turn them into practical realities.

If I have entertained a few folks along the way, then I consider that a big win.

Over the years, I have never come close to winning Arc40k, and that’s okay with me. For me, this event is about having fun, catching up with friends, and enjoying the atmosphere. The less pressure I put on myself, the better the weekend will be for me. My simple advice to anyone coming to Arc40k is to relax and enjoy it for what it is.

I am proud to say that my painting progress is on track and my army is coming along nicely. I have built my four Chaos Knight Wardogs and I am putting the finishing touches on my objectives.

If you want to see my army up close and personal, you’ll just have to come to Arc40k and check it out for yourself.

My journey to Arc40k 2023 has been a blast and I am excited to be a part of this event. It’s been a long journey, stretching back over 21 years, and I am proud of what I have accomplished. I hope to see you there, so come up for a chat and let’s talk about the hobby. Have a great time, and catch you across the table.
