Leagues of Votann meets StarCraft

If you're a fan of StarCraft, you'll love the Leagues of Votann army that impressed at this year’s Arc40k. Created by Roger Birkett, the army was built and painted to represent the Terrans from the popular 90’s video game.

Roger put his painting and modeling skills to work, bringing the essence of the StarCraft universe to life on the tabletop.

The attention to detail including intricate freehand details on the vehicles. And the StarCraft theme was perfectly captured in every aspect of the army, including the design of the display board.

Speaking of the display board, it was a work of art in itself. With pieces that looked like screens from the StarCraft game console, and health bars and other in-game icons on the models, it was a cool representation of the video game. The terrain features were also reminiscent of the game's various planets.

But the real stars of the show were the models themselves. The freehand work on the medics' shields and the vehicles was simply impressive. Each of the three vehicles, two Sagitaur and a LandFortress, were adorned with intricate designs that perfectly captured the feel of the StarCraft universe.

Even the army's background story was inspired by the StarCraft universe. This army truly stood out from the crowd and was a highlight of the event.

It's no wonder that Roger's Leagues of Votann army won the best theme award at Arc40k. His dedication to recreating the StarCraft universe was evident across all aspects of the army.

And Roger was thrilled to see the reactions of everyone at the event. Seeing the StarCraft universe come to life on the tabletop made all of the hard work worth it.

In the end, Roger's depiction of the StarCraft universe truly shone through in every aspect of his army. Congratulations to Roger on winning the best theme award, and we can't wait to see what he'll bring to the table next.
