None of us want Politics to Interfere with Our Tabletop Weekend!

Hey, we don’t usually let politics get in the way of our tabletop hobby - but this year, it’s crashing our party.
The 2025 Federal Election has been officially called for Saturday 3 May - which just so happens to be the kick-off of the ArcFest weekend. With tournaments, ArcOpen, the Parade of Armies, and hundreds of attendees rolling dice and painting challenges, there’s a real risk that players could just not have a chance of placing their vote on the day.
ArcFest will be doing its best to keep the electoral process from interfering with your gaming weekend - but we need your help. Most attendees won’t be in their home electorate on the day, so voting early is vital.
Here’s how to get it sorted:

Vote early in person: Early voting opens two weeks before the election - kicking off 22 April. There will be more than 550 early voting centres nationwide - find yours at aec.gov.au.

Apply for a postal vote: If you can’t vote early in person, apply now and get it mailed to you. Don’t leave this too late! Head to: aec.gov.au/pva

In this election, you’ll cast two votes:
One for the House of Representatives (green ballot - number every candidate in order)
One for the Senate (white ballot - number at least 6 above the line, or 12 below the line)
If you make a mistake, no stress - ask for a new ballot.
Let’s face it: we’ve all spent hours deciding between two paint shades - choosing a government should at least get the same attention.
Vote early, and enjoy ArcFest without politics creeping into your deployment zone
